From Hwy 74 - 76
After crossing the Cape Fear River Bridge turn right at the first traffic light. This is Hwy 421 South/Third Street. Continue south past Greenfield Lake. Hwy 421/Third Street becomes Hwy 421/Carolina Beach Road. You will be going in the direction of Carolina Beach/Fort Fisher.
You will veer to your right as you pass through Myrtle Grove continuing towards Carolina Beach. There is a Wal-Mart, etc. located there. The park is approximately 2.5 miles south of Myrtle Grove.
Veterans Park will be located on your right and accessed by Halyburton Memorial Parkway (previously know as Veterans Drive).
The distance from the Cape Fear River Bridge to Veterans Park is approximately nine (9) miles.
From I-40
I-40 becomes College Road/Hwy 132. You will cross over Market Street (HWY 17) and continue south towards Carolina Beach/Fort Fisher. College Road will merge with Carolina Beach Road/Hwy 421 south at Myrtle Grove.
Veterans Park will be located on your right approximately 2.5 miles south of Myrtle Grove and accessed by Halyburton Memorial Parkway (previously know as Veterans Drive).
The distance from the Market Street overpass is approximately eleven (11) miles.
